Calming Bliss Balls
Ingredients
10x Medjool Dates
1 cup Almonds
Tbsp Flaxseeds
Tbsp Chia
1/2 tsp Peppermint Essence
2 tsp Cacao powder
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp Reishi (optional)
Method
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until it comes together.
Slightly wet hands and roll into balls.
Roll in extra chia seeds and then place in the fridge until set.
Store in the fridge for an easy snack.

Peppermint Oil
Its calming properties make it useful for treating IBS. It is known to relax the gastrointestinal system as well as the nervous system. It contains polyphenols which have antioxidant properties that can scavenge the body of free radicals. It may even have an anti-nausea effect.
Cacao
Contains magnesium, which helps to calm and regulate your nervous system. It is also an antioxidant containing polyphenols and flavonoids which have been shown to reduce oxidation in the body.
Chia Seeds
Contain high levels of omega-3s and have anti-inflammatory effects. This is helpful when we are feeling anxious or stressed as chronic and acute stress can cause inflammation in the body.
Almonds
Are high in protein, and the body needs protein to support neurotransmitter function. Low protein has been shown to increase anxiety and depression symptoms. They also contain healthy fats, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, and Vitamin E.
Dates
Are a high source of fiber as well as B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, and folic acid. They contain vitamin B6 which is needed for the synthesis of GABA and serotonin.
Reishi
Is a medicinal mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine. It has been shown to support immune function as well as support a healthy stress response and aid sleep.
