Chickpea and pea falafels

Green Pea & Chickpea Falafels

Ingredients

  • 1x cup dried chickpeas

  • 1x cup frozen peas

  • 1/2 red onion

  • 4x garlic cloves

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1x small bunch parsley

  • 1/2 red onion

  • 3/4 cup sesame seeds

  • Salt + pepper

  • Olive oil

Method

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight

  2. Add half chickpeas, parsley, flour, garlic, baking powder, onion, salt + pepper to a food processor and blend

  3. Add the remaining chickpeas and peas

  4. Blend until desired texture

  5. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes

  6. Roll into balls and cover with sesame seeds (should make around 12)

  7. Fry each side in olive oil over medium heat, until each side is golden.
